My name is Jen and I am a serious, yet versatile, exceptionally trained, vocalist that is desiring to do what I was born to do, perform, record, and create music. I was a music major for three years (Boston University: awarded talent scholarship for Vocal Performance), yet ultimately graduated from UCF with a B.S. in Interdisciplinary Studies; Music, Marketing, & Education. Although I am well-educated in classical music, as well as music theory, I'm currently studying Speech-Level Singing (the technique of last year's American Idol finalist; Adam Lambert) to perform Pop/(Modern & Classic) Rock/Blues/Experimental/Electronic/Indie. I'm only interested in working with other musicians/technicians of the same caliber, diligence, and professionalism. To hear some of my vocals visit my be page at:

I'm looking forward to exploring the endless possibilities of creating unique and passionate music with other seasoned musicians of varying styles and diverse sounds. I am interested in writing/recording/performing original music and/or performing with a cover/tribute band. My main goal, optimistically, is to make a living at what I do best, as well as, what I am intensely trained to do. I am not interested to work in an office from 9 - 5, as I am sure that the majority of you can relate.

Influences
I have a rather diverse and extremely LARGE variety of musical influences that have inspired me as a musician. My top most influential bands/artists are: Radiohead/Thom Yorke, The Beatles, Nikka Costa, Jamie Lidell, Jamiroquai, KT Tunstall, Tracy Bonham, Bjork, AIR, Immogen Heap/Frou Frou, Daft Punk, Chemical Brothers, The Postal Service, Dave Matthew's Band, Joe Cocker, Prince, Sting, Duffy, Muse, Smashing Pumpkins, Feist, Adele, Sufjan Stevens, Elliott Smith, Tenacious D, The Disociatives/Silverchair, Primus, Glassjaw, Leon Russell, Alanis Morissette, Jewel, Sheryl Crow, The Black Crowes, Queen, Journey, Foreigner, Styx, Heart, Janis Joplin, Depeche Mode, Ani DiFranco, Joe Bonomassa, John Mayor Trio, The Legendary JC's, Tori Amos, Fiona Apple, Coldplay, Kings of Leon, Guster, Jane Monheit, Norah Jones, A Tribe Called Quest, The Roots, Outkast, Timberland, The Digable Planets, Ella Fitzgerald, Miles Davis, John Coltrane, Franz Liszt, Richard Strauss, Gabriel Faure, and I could probably keep going for a while...
EQUIPMENT
I don't have too much in regards to recording equipment, but I do have a decent amount of equipment to DJ or host Karaoke, i.e; karaoke machine, 2 microphones (1 is wireless), a small mixer, over 10,000 karaoke songs with graphics: cd+g's & super cd+g's (on the original cd's - not downloaded. I also have an acoustic guitar and a (basic) keyboard. I also have a large amount of sheet music: solo, a capella, choral, beginning guitar w/ tabs, and piano (of varying genres, including but not limited to: classical, jazz, opera, theater, and contemporary - pop, rock, etc.).
That's pretty much most of it - if I forgot to mention something then, just ask and I'll look.

O Quand je Dors
O Quand je Dors Track number: 3 Year: 2003 Album: The Sophomore Student Recital of Jennifer McInturff Genre: Classical
Although, This is not the genre of music that I want to pursue, I was rather good at it. Here is a song that I studied as a Classical Vocal Performance Major (in Florida and at Boston University) entitled, "O Quand je Dors", by: Franz Liszt. I am 19 years old in this recording and did not dub the vocals or anything. In fact, the sound engineer recorded the pianist and I simultaneously...
