I grew up listening to my dad play guitar, typically either hard picking a twangy solo or rhythmically strumming a blues riff. When I was 12 he began teaching me the basics and I was hooked. From there I started playing Lynyrd, ACDC, Eagles, CCR, Led Zeppelin, 90's grunge, and a little bluegrass and country. After 5 or so years of playing classic rock covers I shifted my focus to writing music and have been doing so ever since. This has opened my eyes to new and exciting music that features more singer songwriters. My music still has a blues soul, but usually comes integrated with folk and alternative sounds. I enjoy playing around with a lot of different sounds from the likes of Daniel Bachman to funk to White Stripes.
