In this time of musical uncertainty, when record labels and promoters would rather sign "temporarily comfortable" bands and not risk their money for the betterment of rock and roll. These days where there are no bands for the fans. When everything must be good for the market, and concrete. Thousands of prepubescent screaming fans that will flock by the hordes to see one band for one night only have taken the spot of die-hard fans. The fans that would fight for the name of their favorite band, the fans that would get tattoos to show their support. All those old, dirty, broken bottle bruisers clad in leather and blood, and ready to devote their rock and roll heart and soul to the deviance that is true grit and bones music. Crudely stitched together from the streets of Chicago. The neon signs and big buildings have given birth such a stonewall crusading band. Pumped with passion as fuel, Cherry Darling is a band with a mentality that brings back the "Us against the world" generation. Formed a few months ago each member has their own story. The collective attitude of the band melts on doses of high-powered vintage rock and roll. It is our belief that our music should make you feel dirty. We want our drums, to break your nose. Our guitars, would invoke the drive to smash bottles and beat fist to fist, with every chord. The vocals would cause such a build up of grit, like mud mixed with sand on your boots that you'd feel the need to shower. This isn't your mama's rock and roll, this isn't your brothers, or your dads, or your uncles rock and roll. This is primal rock and roll, It makes you remember where you are from. The leather and denim clad children of a sick rock and roll era where filth is prized, and decadence is promoted. Where brothers and friends unite under a single note. Fists raised in the air with pride for all to see, this is Cherry Darling, and we bring back with us, the Swagger and Grit era of rock and roll.
