Original material, alternate tunings. The songs are honest and poetic, the instrumentals range from ambient meditative to groovy.
Looking for a creative bassist to collaborate with on Dynamic Ambient Acoustic Electric Post Folk Fusion.
Mainly interested in developing a working musical team, composing and recording for now.
I have a modest home studio about a half hour south of Paducah. as well as a large garage if we expand and bring in a drummer. I would like to start with a bassist but I am open to any musician that is interested in creating something unique.
Very kick back, no drugs, smoke free environment. I enjoy a couple good beers here and there.
Please take a listen to my music to get a broad perspective of my sound. The newer material leans more to the ambient experimental side. I want to do more of that but I am open to see how a creative Bassist will inspire me. Let's try making some music together.

Hot Stuff Jam @ Etcetera Coffee Shop Paducah.MP3
Hot Stuff Jam @ Etcetera Coffee Shop Paducah.MP3A jam at Etcetera coffee in lower town Paducah.
FavorIt seems I have found favor outside Etcetera Coffee shop in downtown Paducah. This is a sweet little area between two historical buildings with a quiet, peaceful natural ambiance and some old trees that provide cover from the sun. I did my best to not violate the vibe and I actually met someone from my last home town, Yorba Linda. Ca!
Discovering Paducah Arts District With Charley Quinton.MP3
Discovering Paducah Arts District With Charley Quinton.MP3Highlights from my time with new friend Charley who I met today in the arts district of downtown Paducah. Opening Harmonica and vocals by Charley Quinton. The background music is a looped segment from some piano improv Charley played on a keyboard at Allen Music just before I had to head home. The full clip is featured at the end of this recording.
Somber Heat - Mix 1
Somber Heat - Mix 1Recorded with an Olympus LS10 on my porch. Animal Sounds were isolated and lifted from the original recording, EQ'd, morphed and enhanced with effects and then dropped back in the mix. The June bugs did their own effects. They were that loud and changed their volume and pitch just as you hear it as I played.
Driftwood Scavenger - Kneading The Heart
Driftwood Scavenger - Kneading The HeartThere is a sensation I have experienced at times when I am burdened before God. It is an emptying and a filing simultaneously, a kneading of the heart in His hands. Sometimes it comes unexpectedly other times when I am crying out. Tonight I was playing outside Trader Joe's composing this piece and an older lady was moved as I was playing. I gave her a CD and she was very visibly touched by something greater than me. She walked away and turned back around again as if she didn't want to leave. I felt she was experiencing the same Kneading of the Heart that I was. This is for her and anyone else who knows what I am talking about. This was recorded right there in front of Trader Joes using a Zoom R 24. I came home and mixed it in Adobe Audition. One guitar track with different subtle effects on the left and right channels.
Driftwood Scavenger - Shade Tree
Driftwood Scavenger - Shade TreeShade Tree was written in the summer of 2012 during a heat wave. For days on end all I could do to get cool was roll over to a park on my bike and sprawl out on the lawn under a big old shade tree. This was the piece I was kicking around at that time so I named it, "Shade Tree". Deeper than that is the symbolic nature of the need for protection under a shade tree...my true Shade Tree is my Father in Heaven.
