We are Chicago Rhythm!
Chicago Rhythm is not just your run of the mill band that plays great music, but a visual show experience to titillate both your ears and your eyes! We play all dance music from Gloria Estefan to Pat Benetar, Maria Carey to Celine Dion - Rock, Jazz, Blues, R&B, Funk, Techno, and everything in between, with an emphasis on Latin and other great dance music.
We are a dynamic band whose members are:
Outstanding Female Vocalist, Guitar/Vocals, Keyboards/Vocals, Drums/Vocals and Bassist/Vocals. All of us are very seasoned pros, exceptional musicians, very personable with great senses of humor and easy to get along with, who love performing AND having fun! We are in our late 30's to 60's.
We perform at corporate, political and civic functions, festivals and upscale weddings ($3K minimum). Any small bar/nightclub performances are considered "paid rehearsals" and not our focus. We perform where the real money is, and have a lot of fun doing it along the way!
I (Geo) was the lead guitarist in Rude Awakening in the 70's. We were one of the top local bands and then moved up to the next tier, opening for main headliners. We opened for Styx 3 times, Deep Purple and Kansas once each and the most fun I ever had, was at the Aragon, where we opened for Ted Nugent. After getting married and having kids ("empty-nesters" in a few years), I am getting back to what I have, and always will love ... performing!
