OUR VALUES: In the city that never sleeps, we observe quiet hours at night so that everyone can rest. We offer a positive atmosphere in which we treat each other as a family. We enjoy communal meals and top-quality food options for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. We are interested in building community by honoring all spiritual traditions, through practices of prayer and contemplation and service to others. We create community events based in the arts. You are encouraged to use our large indoor and outdoor spaces for concerts and workshops. AN AMAZING HOUSE: Our spacious 3-story house is brand new and nicely furnished--including a kitchen with dishwasher, brand new (no coin) washer and dryer, new furnishings, backyard patio with furniture and firepit, and three bathrooms. We are in a transportation hub--just a 12-minute walk to the 2/5 Train or two blocks to the bus. There is also a covered garage for mopeds/ bikes, plus off-street and safe on-street parking. A BEAUTIFUL ROOM: We have one available bedroom. It is on the second floor with new hardwood floors, closet, and a window overlooking the trees. It's a comfortable size (12 x 10) for $800/month, including utilities and high-speed wireless. It comes furnished or unfurnished. You also have an option to share in top-quality food options for $50 150/month, depending on your needs. QUALIFICATIONS: You must be a single individual, ages 18-49, who loves to sing, play an instrument, dance, perform, write, or work with the visual or media arts. You must be open-minded, positive, and welcoming, personally responsible but also flexible. You will not use tobacco, illegal substances, or excessive alcohol. TO JOIN US: You must be able to demonstrate a reliable source of income, as verified by employer. And you will need to submit two character references--from current or former employers, religious or civic leaders, and/or teachers.
