Introduced to the flute in the Brentwood, NY public schools, Suffolk County Community College, Christian Midy studies with Judith Mendenhall (American Ballet Theater) at the Queens College Aaron Copland School of Music. He is a Music Performance Major at Queens College and is focused on completing his undergraduate bachelor’s degree at Aaron Copland School of music. Christian has taken multiple masterclasses from Judith Mendenhall and Frank Morelli (Orpheus Chamber Orchestra) at Aaron Copland. He has also performed chamber works with his peers at Queens College, as well as the Queens College Orchestra under the instruction of Mark Powell. Recently named a finalist of the 2022 ACSM Concerto Competition.
