ABOUT

I was born and raised in a suburb of Boston, MA before moving to San Diego in 2015. I began playing guitar at 7 years old. I took some lessons in the beginning but am mostly self taught. I have played in bands before. An original punk band called Stay Behind. I also played in a Weezer cover band which was a lot of fun. The largest audience I’ve ever played to was about 100 people.

I live a fairly simple life. I work for an auto insurance company, Mon-Fri 9-5. All of my time otherwise is completely free. I do not have a significant other or kids, nor do I plan to do so. I own a decent car so transportation is not an issue. I play guitar about 1 to 1.5 hours a day. I’ve mostly honed my skills by playing along to the bands I have listed as influences.

I’m lucky enough to have acquired some incredible gear over the years that I very much enjoy. I mostly play in standard or drop D, but can tune to whatever is needed for the song. I pride myself on my vibrato which is very strong.

My goal here is to find a band to get together and have fun. And ultimately I would love to play some shows. That’s really about it. I have no illusions of signing a record deal at this point or going on tour. If it did happen, great, but. Not sure I see that happening. I am all for writing original material, but for me to come jam we would need to have a dozen songs to cover first so we can get musically familiar with each other. I would first want to start with drums, bass and my guitar only. Then eventually find a singer. I’m not completely against finding a 2nd guitar player but I want to keep things simple first and go from there. I also have a degree in Audio Engineering so I am able to record bands and mix in my home studio setup.
