ABOUT

Hey! My name is Chris. I'm looking to meet up with other musical artists.

I'm a vocalist in the Metro Detroit/Canton area looking for a group (or individuals) who are interested in putting music together, who are at least semi-intelligent, mature, open minded and as a bonus, it would be nice to find someone with computer skills as my work schedule can go from keeping me not busy enough to overwhelmingly busy.

Over the years, I've produced beats and remixes in which at one time made it to some top 10 lists on and purevolume (including top 10 most listened to unsigned artists in Michigan at times). I also have background in marketing, which in my opinion was where more of the success of the pages came from. After working with several bands and artists with recording, adding trumpet, photography, management, music videos, production, web design and promotion and after doing some small acting parts, I decided one night I wanted to get on the mic at a friends party that had open mic night. A surprise to many as I can come off as more of a soft spoken, mellow guy, but this was the most adrenalin fueled moment of my life.

Six years and several bands later, and a few projects later, I have a good number of fans and core followers for being self taught.

I also have a little experience in trumpet and as of the last couple months trying to get into the basics of guitar and turntables.

I've done a variety of styles, some rap, rock, screaming, autotune, some melodic singing, one of my challenges lately seems to be the lyric writing as I am slightly laid back and don't have the drama to write about, but I'm getting better with it.

I have no ego, no drama, nothing but passion. I'm not a drug addict, pill popper, crazy person or alcoholic, although I like to drink, but responsibly.

I'm influenced by a rather wide variety of styles, rap, pop, alternative, I think my ideal style is rap but I always feel like it's missing the live band and is in need of some heavy guitar. In the way of originals I suppose I'm not picky in what style as long as we come up with something catchy and it sounds good to our ears. I don't have much interest in blues or punk type music but they're the genres that we've come up with some of my favorite material. I've also always been into the idea of making rock covers to rap/pop songs. Kinda like what Travis Barker does or what Framing Hanley or Korn did to Lil Wayne's Lollipop and Got Money songs.
