Been playing bass since 2005 and guitar since 2007. I played bass in a cover band from 2006 to 2009. We played mainly classic rock covers with some modern alternative. Looking to play guitar in a group now that that band has more or less stopped. I took a year of guitar classes in college and have played a few gigs with a new group, so I'm not a complete stranger to playing guitar live. The group I'm with now isn't as committed as I'd like to be.
I'm willing to play bass again as long as the band is committed. I've picked up some drumming since early 2009. I'm nothing fantastic but I can keep it together and bring a lot of energy on a kit. I can sing rock, I'm not the greatest singer by any stretch of the imagination but I can keep it in key and hit my parts. And once again gotta bring the energy. I'd probably be better suited to backing vocals.
I'd be interested in doing original tunes and I'd even be willing to try to make it as a group, but at the same time I mostly just want to get out there and play some gigs again. So a cover group would be great too. I've been putting some originals of my own together and could supply more. Ultimately I'd like to try to make music as a living, but right now I just need someone to play with. Doesn't matter where it goes from there, as long as we're out there playing.
