SEEKING
Vocalist - Tenor, Vocalist - Soprano, Harmonica, Vocalist - Alto.ABOUT
I left Georgia for Alabama in 1991. I've finally decided to move back to my home state of Georgia and am living near Tallapoosa. I am a retired band and choral director that has led or been part of many bar bands over the course of my lifetime. I play keyboards, rhythm guitar and can sing as well as song-write. I consider myself a very strong rhythm man and knowledgeable/capable leader when leadership is needed though it's great being able to play with others with the same skill set where no leader is needed. I can learn music "by ear" but I also can read sheet music and follow chord charts/lead sheets. Vocally, I'm a baritone and though I can still sing, my vocal stamina isn't what it once was. I am good at harmonizing with other singers, I am looking to put a band together here in the West Georgia area. My current home has a sizeable dry basement with room enough for a 5-6 piece band to rehearse but we currently rehearse in Hiram, GA.. If you're interested in talking further feel free to message me with contact info or either send me a message here or via cjconner1954 at the gee male.
I am currently seeking a female or high tenor male lead singer and possibly a sax player. Rehearsals would be once weekly for 2 hours or so with the expectation that everyone know their own parts before the session based on a set list that would be given a week prior to the rehearsal. All prospective band members would go through an audition process based off a 5 song list from a variety of styles and genres. The goal of this band would be to play venues in the Atlanta and surrounding areas up to 100 miles away and possibly do some recording of original material. Shows would have both cover songs and a few originals in it. We'll cover mainly Blues, Quiet Storm R&B , Funk and some Classic Rock.
