I was a full time musician for about 7 years, primarily as a bass player, songwriter, and vocalist, in Richmond and Asheville. I logged over 1000 gigs all over the Southeast and Midwest. Now I’ve got a 9-5 and am looking for fun projects to be a part of, ideally in the Hillsborough area or in Durham or Chapel Hill.

I would love to join or help start a project doing jam/psych rock, other instrumental music, country, bluegrass, or country/bluegrass-adjacent Americana stuff, ideally with people aged 25-45 (give or take) who have a relatively comparable level of experience in music. To me, the ideal group is 2-3 people, though I'm open to bigger bands than that. I really appreciate spaciousness in music and having close connections with bandmates, which is why I lean toward smaller groups.

I'd love to be practicing once a week and gigging once or twice a month at paying bar gigs in the Triangle. I do booking for an Asheville band, including a fair amount of Triangle gigs, so can definitely do some booking for us.

The only thing that I definitely do not want to be a part of is a project that does covers of the same 100 songs that every other band plays - no generic cover bands, please.
