Self taught, self inspired bassist wanting to soon begin a career in the music world. My level of commitment is very high in the sense of my want to play, and do more with my music, such as gigs, studio recording, song writing so on and so forth. I am going to be starting a degree in music theory, and already have a basic theory understanding through websites and research. I’ve been playing for about 5-6 years now. I started playing originally with a bunch of buddies in a garage band so I’m very used to improvising and creating my own music. Not really a cover kinda guy, I don’t think that being able to plays covers makes you a true muscian per say or makes you good. It just means you can copy. I firmly believe that a big part of being a musician is taking the ideas in your head and translating it through your instrument. My favorite thing about music is everyone uses the same notes and instruments that people have been playing for years, and can take them and create something entirely different and new with your personal style written all over it. I mainly enjoy creating either my own music or collaborating with others to make something as a group. I generally enjoy all music and am willing to play virtually anything but, my own solo style tends be more on the melodic side.
