Band to Join, Vocalist, Rhythm Guitar, Bass Guitar, Drums, Other Percussion, Keyboard, Piano, Background Singer, Other, Electronic Music.

Keyboard/Synth player looking to join/form group of like-minded, serious about playing, rehearsing musicians for future gigs in DC/MD/VA/DE area.

I have played in numerous bands (covers and originals) in the mid-atlantic for several years, have super pro gear, reliable transportation, and a serious live itch!

If you do all covers, all originals, or a combo of the two, I'm down...I'm principally looking for a level of commitment rather than an "all-or-nothing" cover or original act. I'd like to pursue a high-end, modern sound, big room capable but able to scale it back if necessary, with professional representation.

If you can play an atmospheric at times, heavy at others Guitar, a solid, funky, room-filling Bass, Drums that establish a foundation upon which great songs are played - solid like the bass and equally as powerful, accentuating percussion, more keyboards, vocals (male and female)...then you are welcome and needed.

If it sounds interesting, shoot me a message at rwh 68 at hot mail dot com.

Hmmm...ummm...well...really? Way to many to list, but here's a few based on context...

Songwriting and composition - think Genesis/Collins (Abacab, Air Tonight), Peter Gabriel (Red Rain, Shock the Monkey, Your Eyes), Seal (Future Love Paradise, Loves Divine, Crazy), Tears for Fears (Shout, Mothers Talk, Head Over Heels), Pink Floyd (Dark Side of the Moon, Momentary Lapse of Reason eras)...etc.

Instrumentation - think Yes (Big Generator era), Rush (Power Windows, Presto, Signals Moving Pictures eras), Duran Duran (Seven and the Ragged Tiger, Rio eras), Howard Jones (Humans Lib, Dream Into Action eras)

Groove - think Bowie (Golden Years, Fame) spiced with a bit of Gary Wright (Love is a Lie) with some Chili Peppers thrown in for good measure....

if you're getting all of this then you can see I have a relatively eclectic mix of likes based on the perspective. The common theme for me in all of these choices is the professionalism and "craft" detail each artist displayed in the studio and live.

Korg, Apple, Mackie, Ultimate stands...solid super-pro gear!
