ABOUT

I am 31 years old and have been playing guitar since I was 15. Started out with acoustic for one year and picked up electric a year later. I primarily stick to rhythm guitar, mainly because I'm not very good at lead guitar. I feel I have a very good ear for riffs, and my guitar tone is modeled off of Dimebag Darrells Pantera tone (that buzz saw sound).
I also do vocals, whether it be singing, screaming, or snarling. I've mainly work my vocals to Pantera and Fear Factory, and also do a great Dave Mustain voice (been told that quite a bit from my previous band).
I presently work 2 jobs to support my family. I own my own home and my girlfriend doesn't have a problem when I have band practice. She knows this is what I want to do.

Influences

I started listening to metal with Metallica. Who hasn't? I later picked up Megadeth, Pantera, Fear Factory, Slipknot, Lamb of god, Black Label Society, Sepultura (with Max Cavelera), Soulfly, Drowning Pool, Soil, Hatebreed, Korn, Judas Priest, Rammstein, both White and Rob Zombie, and Static-X. These areyears primary influences and I never get tired of listening to them.

EQUIPMENT

Two Dean guitars, one a Mustaine custom and one Dimebag Dime'o'Flame custom.
An Ibanez 7 string. I also have a 6 but it needs new wiring.
A Jackson Randy Rhoads shaped guitar. The guy I bought it from did some customizing to it, including a Floyd Rose whammy system.
I still have my first guitar, which is a Jasmine 6 string acoustic.
A Boss ME-50 effects board for my guitar setup, which include a Behringer amp and a custom Dime practice amp. I use the dual amp setup because I can't the right tone I like from one amp.
Two Behringer PA speakers with stands and a Behringer 4 channel mixing board.
Two EV microphones with one mix stand. I had two stands, but I don't know what happened to the other. Easy replacement, though.
A Tascam 8 track digital recorder, and a multitude of 1/4 inch cables. Some don't work (need to weed those ones out).
