After playing guitar in a bands throughout Georgia, Cody decided to go out on his own with just an acoustic guitar and a handful of songs. Hailing from the Piedmont of the Appalachian Mtns, Cody brings his own Southern sound and upbringing to his audience by blending elements of Americana, Country, and Rock N' Roll. Cody takes no holds barred approach and writes honestly about living, loving, and dying in Appalachia. He draws on influences such as Guy Clark, Townes Van Zandt, John Prine, Gram Parson, and many other great songwriters before him.
