I love music. Music is my life. I love classic rock and psychedelic all the way to hardcore and death metal. I want to start or join a true death metal band. Not a band with soft vocals that has some harsh vocals thrown in with lyrics about their feelings and their crappy lives.
fu*k that. Whiny music bores me. I'm talking real brutal death metal with horror imagery and a big middle finger to contemporary pop music. I want to be in the band that I would listen to.
I want it to be the kind of band you want to listen to as well. I know it seems like all I'm saying is "I want, I want, I want" but I don't want anybody to think I don't want to hear any ideas you may have. I just don't want to be a pop band parading around as a metal band to get a quick stairway to fame.
I've had a guitar since I was 10 but didn't really start to learn until I was 16. I've never been in a band before because I wasn't sure I was good enough and didn't want to waste other's time.
That being said, I can say with absolute certainty that I'm not just some asshole that can barely play. I have the chops. I'm looking for people close to my skill level. If you're interested, let me know. If you're in a completely different league than me, I'll tell you and there'll be no hard feelings if you think you're too good.
