Control Shift is an alternative rock band based in Los Angeles, California.

Guitarist and songwriter Ali Rizvi initially founded this project. Ali discovered a raw natural talent for music at an early age due to his family's continuing support of his creative endeavors. To this day, he continues to experiment and push the boundaries with his non-apologetic approach to creating raw and hard-hitting rock.

Control Shift was founded soon after the pandemic started as this was a period where Ali was intensively creative and wrote a ton of brand new songs. Soon after, he started his search for a vocalist who could express the essence and power of his material, and he connected with MT Letsinger, another experienced performer in the industry with many releases to his name.

The band dives into post grunge and progressive rock and they draw inspiration from the likes of Tool, Nine Inch Nails, and A Perfect Circle, to mention but a few.

What stands out about Control Shift is that the music features a deep authenticity that is largely missing from the contemporary music scene. In this fresh project, the band explores a variety of thought-provoking and poignant topics, including philosophy, science, and politics. The aim of the lyricism is to challenge the listener's perspective and help them see things in a deeper and more meaningful way. They are currently working hard on their full-length album, Per Aspera Ad Astra which will drop late 2022. Check out there two singles 'Welcome' and 'Awake' out now on all streaming services.
