I am looking to get a band together for a red dirt/texas country type of band with some blues and gospel elements in there as well. I have an EP with 6 songs about halfway completed, and I already have a few more songs written. I want to do almost exclusively originals with a few covers for fun that might range from Michael Jackson to Guns N' Roses just to keep people on there toes.
As of right now I am the lead singer and lead guitarist, and I have a very good, experienced drummer, a good PA for rehearsal, and guitar gear. I am searching for a rhythm guitarist that can play some lead guitar fills while I'm singing and a bassist. One of those 2 have to be able to sing harmonies, and if both can that would be even better. I am also searching for someone that can play fiddle, steel, or keys or a combination of the 3, but those aren't absolutely essential. I would really like to have them, though. It's just hard to pull off a real country sound without it.
I would like to work up to playing most weekends with paying gigs all around Texas, but that may take awhile to get to. I have played all over the place since I was 17, but that was with a metal/hard rock band. My connections with country venues aren't very extensive. That being said, if you have any industry or venue connections that would be a huge plus.
This should go without saying, but no drugs. Alcohol is fine as long as you don't get hammered before you go on stage and play horribly.

Whiskey Myers, Brad Paisley, Randy Rogers, Sean McConnell, Josh Abbott, Skynyrd, Ray Charles...this is just for this band. I have many other musical influences from rock and metal when it comes to my guitar playing.
EQUIPMENT
Fender Telecaster, Gibson Les Paul, Blackstar HT60 Stage, SKB pedal board w/Morley Wah, Route 66 Compressor, OCD Overdrive, Boss Delay and Noise Suppressor. I have a full PA available that is not actually mine, but a friend of mine's that is allowing me to use whenever I want.
