Read til the end and please don't judge a book by the cover. I've done Metal to country so read on. Every cover band I stuck with has thrived, so what have you got? I am looking for something more. I was the lead singer for 8 years in the Metal band Tantrum back in the day. Singing Rob Halford and Bruce Dickenson was no problem back then and Metallica was the new band on the scene. Then I got into a classic rock band for a while and on a bet, I tried country, answered a Craigslist ad, and ended up being the band leader for ten years. I grew up listening to three guitar army Southern rock bands and believe Hair bands killed true metal. I am currently running around running sound with my gear for a promoter or singing New and Old Country, Southern rock, Select Classic rock covers with other bands on the cover band circuit. I sing 90% in original keys, and I am a trained 2.5 octaves to an A4 I woodshed at home but expect the band will hold weekly rehearsals or playing out and I am cool with that. GIG any night of the week. I have my own wireless PA with EV Subs and Satellites with four monitors on the floor.
