I am a strong rhythm guitar player with great timing but a week lead guitar player. I was taught Guitar by Tommy posey. He played with Ernest Tubb and Waylon jennings. Taught songwriting by Don hyde. He wrote Midnight Train to Georgia. I only play guitar and don't read music.
I use a pic 90% of the time. I do some finger picking but I'm not as fluid as I would like to be. I am comfortable with some finger-picking.
