my name is Cristofe and I'm a singer/songwriter/guitarist/bassist/synth programmer/audio engineer...Wheww!! I'm originally from NYC and played in bands up and down the east coast, most notably OMS LAW. OMS LAW was based in New Brunswick, NJ from the mid to late 80's and often played the same clubs as other local up-and-comers Monster Magnet and The Smithereens. I then toured nationally as a solo acoustic act for several years before settling in Carbondale, IL. I now play regionally as a solo, duo, trio, quartet or five piece as well as own and operate my own recording studio. I've recently assembled an absolutley killer band of seasoned professionals. Cristofe (the band), plays a compelling mix of roots/classic style rock, country and blues, both originals and time honored classics. These songs were recorded by me,(and the band!), in our studio, where we will be returning this fall to record a full length CD. That was then.....since that was written I've been divorced, lost my home, my studio & my DOG to my witch of an ex-wife. Since that happened I've gotten re-married to the love of my life, moved to Knoxville, TN and work in a museum: ://.blountmansion I've been buying and selling a lot of gear on E-Bay (user id: cristofe) Both to feed my new passion/obsession: guitar synths and in an effort to assemble the necesarry gear to build a new studio. I've played a few solo gigs in my new home town but I'm really starting to get the itch to join/form a new band.....anybody in Eastern Tennessee wanna jam? And the story continues......Well, some cats in Knoxville did want to jam! We formed Stonetree and played a few gigs and did a bit of recording: ://./stonetree1 As fate would have it just as things were heating up it was time to relocate once again and I had to bid Stonetree a fond adieu. We now live in Central NY, Auburn to be exact. I'm just starting to break out and meet some of the players on the scene here. Just last night I performed at the open mic at the VERY COOL Auburn Public Theater. Very warm and welcoming folks and lots of great players....Chris and Lorne kindly joined me onstage for a few tunes. I'll admit I was a bit nervous having to follow the great Eric Brown band after they tore the roof of the place! Looking for more folks to jam and record with in my new hometown. I've got tons,(literally), of stage and studio gear! More recently I've begun working more closely with the APT. I've made them a long term loan of PA and recording gear for their mainstage which will allow us not only provide excellent FOH sound but will also allow us to do produce studio quality live digital multitrack recordings.
