ABOUT

It all started at the beach on a late August evening. Three friends destined to meet from across the west coast, representing multiple counties and multiple states came together and a band was born. With a huge spread of musical tastes and backgrounds it all came together to form a unique sound even among other aggressive alternative bands. Frontman and lyricist Jake Bissonnette brings the raw energy and passion of bands like Underoath, Devil Wears Prada, and As I Lay Dying. Rhythm guitarist and primary song writer Tim Vila blends in more melodic and rhythmic styles of bands like Linkin Park and P.O.D., to Evanescence and Breaking Benjamin, to Staind and Puddle Of Mud. Lead guitarist and riff-master Ryan Barr tops it off with tasty licks reminiscent of bands like Killswitch Engage, Story Of The Year and Atreyu.
Unfortunately the band broke up about two years into it and has remained dormant until now. But with steady hard work, patience and dedication Cross For A Crown is being reborn.
We are currently looking for a drummer and keyboardist to complete the line up. Also, we would love to have a strong female vocalist to join our ranks and complete the sound.

The Sound: Our goal is to stay unbound by genres and labels. Let a good song be a good song. We aim to portray our struggles and pain through the lens of hope and truth, with memorable music and strong lyrics presented by blending dynamics of aggression and vulnerability with huge vocal arrangements.

The Style: Keeping with the mission of being genre free, our focus is to keep truth and honesty at the center of what we do. Allowing who we are to dictate what we write and perform. Keeping a sense of genuineness to all that we do and making sure that our lives off stage bring weight to who we are under the stage lights.

We are waiting for the right group of musicians and artists to finally come together and make this dream a reality.
