Band to Join, Acoustic Guitar, Bass Guitar, Background Singer.

My name is Brandon and live in Polson, MT. I play bass for blues and alternative rock band 'Loose Change 2.0' here in Polson, as well as for 'Shenanagrinns', a classic country and rock 'n' roll band based in St. Regis. I've been playing bass in a band environment as well as in live performance for about a year now, but I first started out on guitar at age twelve taking classes at my middle school until I moved to Montana where I then joined my high school's concert band. I'm passionate about music and I'd like to dedicate my spare time jam with local musicians, perform around the valley, and write some tunes.

Psychadelic and Progressive Rock is my favorite music, but I also have a soft spot for Metal, Alternative Rock, Funk, Jazz, Blues, Southern Rock, Classic Country, Classic Rock/Metal, and Latino and Hispanic music.

My dream is to master the former.

My playing style is aggressive and melodic. I try to make full use of my growing knowledge in music theory and I love adding my personal touch to tunes I cover.

>On bass I prefer fingerstyle and slap technique with a more melodic role in the band. I use clean and slightly overdriven tones and sometimes my delay pedal for psychadelic breakdowns or jams.

>On guitar I prefer lead playing. I know the blues, pentatonic, major, minor, and mixolydian scales like the back of my hand. I enjoy shred leads as well as slow emotional leads, people also tell me I have a Latin flavor to my playing. I like clean tones and lesser fuzzy distortions and overdrives.

>Primus and Metallica are my biggest influences.

I grew up learning guitar from my uncle in California who was into alternative and classic rock. He inspired me to pick up an axe every day and learn something new. I signed up for my middle school's beginner guitar class knowing only the basics and worked my way up to playing and singing 'House of the Rising Sun' and 'Sunshine Your Love' at my final school concert. I then moved to Montana and unfortunatley dropped guitar in the meantime instead learning music the traditional way on a trumpet at Polson High School playing in the concert band there for four years, After high school I picked up my guitar again and took lessons from local cigarbox guitarist Nathan Eyre and found my self joining a few bands and realizing my passion. I want to keep the dream going and I'm always looking for more musicians to jam with.
