ABOUT

Curbside Goodbye is a band that was formed in 2009 by high school students, Dominique Newcomb (vocals), Robert Biggs (bass), and Devon Smith (guitar). Like most bands, we have gone thru quite a few changes and band members since the band was formed. Dominique (Domi) is the last remaining original member of the band due to various reasons. Curbside Goodbye has one goal in mind that is to make and play music. This band is not a hobby; we have the drive and dedication to take this band to the top.

We have been very fortunate to have had opportunities come our way. Our biggest break came in 2010; we entered a radio competition to write a song for the morning radio show, ‘Monsters in the Morning on Real Radio 104.1’. Out of 12 bands, we placed 2nd with over 24,000 votes, earning us a spot to play in Daytona for the radio shows annual Miss. Monster event. Not to mention two months of radio air time. We were the youngest band in this events14 year history to have played this show. Since then we have played numerous events with the radio shows fan club, Monsters Militia.

We have played throughout Orlando, Tampa, Gainesville, and St. Petersburg to name a few. There are very exciting opportunities coming up that are planned for early 2012. We are seeking dedicated musicians that have a similar passion for our style of music. Think paramore/versa emerge/hush sound/bright eyes type sound. We are looking for guitarist, bassist and a drummer. While we do play cover songs, this isn’t the focus of the band; we are currently in the process of writing originals as well. We have the practice space, including drum set, as well as recording studio, and gigs. All that’s missing is dedicated musicians. If any of this sounds good to you, please email us at curbsidegoodbye.
