I am 71 years old and am living in The Villages full time since 2019. I have been playing guitar and in bands since I first saw The Beatles on Ed Sullivan. I play lead/ rhythm guitar and sing lead and/or backup harmonies. I am not what they call a (monster lead guitarist) but I do consider myself a decent guitar player and I get the job done. To describe my vocals, some of the songs I sang lead vocals on were Fooled Around and Fell in Love, Hurt So Good, all CCR/Fogerty tunes, many Beatle tunes and also sang most of the middle to higher harmony parts. I prefer music from the 60's, 70,s,and 80's, but also believe a good song is a good song no matter from what era. Love performing songs with good harmonies, Beatles, Hollies, Beach Boys, Little River Band, Doobie Brothers, etc. Also like performing songs that are just one vocalist, CCR, Eddie Money, Mellencamp, etc. I am looking to join a band that takes itself serious but, first and foremost has fun and does not have any (rock stars)(big egos). Paying gigs are secondary to finding the right people to play with and having fun.
