ABOUT

I enjoy playing and singing with others, especially in an informal, acoustic setting. When warmed up I can be a fairly good accompanist and harmonizer. Only available 2 evenings a week, the rest of the time only available during the earlier daytime hours. Young or old, male or female - it doesn't matter who wants to play. I welcome all opportunities. The thought of songwriting with someone is also something I'd love to do.

What I really seek is just backing up someone else, just playing fills, leads and harmonizing vocally. I am mostly available Wednesdays and Sundays to play, though late mornings might work as well. Would love to put together an open mic spot.
Currently, I listen to a lot of I guess you would call 'new acoustic'. People like Nickel Creek, Joy Kills Sorrow, Punch Brothers - anything that Chris Thile does - I'm With Her, Sarah Jaroz, Crooked Still and all others of that ilk. If you like that stuff, I'm jazzed about trying something out.

By the way, all the posted recordings are ancient - almost 30 years old. I did, however, play and sing all the parts, and they are my own songs. My thanks if you bothered to listen!
