Blood Urchin is an original instrumental surf band, very noisy and horror-themed. Me? I'm a Jew from Hawaii/New York and have been in the wonderful city of New Orleans over 9 years, and we now need both a gorilla drummer and a screeching keyboardist / organist to fill out the surf sound. Real surf, instrumental and dark, dreamy and foreboding. (Sometimes happy!) I have a catalog of original surf songs that Dick Dale wishes he wrote. Influenced by my Russian Jew heritage and black metal.
I have a practice space with drums/bass/guitar rigs AND two JBL 515 powered speakers that are great for an organ. I also have a Korg digital piano w/ the Roland 60s organ sound module, just in case you don't wanna lug around your own rig to practice.
Had a surf band in Boston in 2003-2004 but then I moved here and pursued a film sound career, which was successful at the cost of the band... Now this band must reform!
Call Dan at 504-220-8948 or "dan_izen" at ya-hoo. I'm not a paying member so I can't contact you.
Don't call if you're threatened by candor, please. Punkers are most welcome.
