Looking for people to play jazz and jazzy blues with. I work very hard at improving on the piano every day, but I'm still a student. I can pick up comping on new songs pretty quickly. Improv is slower, but getting better. I don't rule out playing gigs, but I would be happy just to jam with some people. Emphasis on enjoyment, but I would work diligently on songs between sessions.
I work on playing piano and electric piano, as well as some work on organ.
My only portable keyboard is fun to play, but might not prove to be good enough for regular jam sessions or gigs. For the right situation, I would invest in higher-end equipment.
I am not looking to play loud music. My blues rock days as a guitarist are behind me. I don't judge what other people do, but I can't be around smoking in an indoor space, and my goal is to play music, not get drunk or high. So long as everyone can play music, it's all good.
