Been playing for 48 years. Did a full time road gig for three years in the early 80s. Nothing too glamorous -- just honky tonk night clubs booked through a booking agent. Played around a dozen states. Came off the road and settled around the metro Detroit area and played clubs for another 10 or 12 years until I got a career started outside of the music business. I played a variety of music in bar bands -- country, some Top 40, R & B. Last pro gig was with a 10 piece horn band playing rhythm and blues type stuff.
Played acoustic guitar at home for fun all through the years. Sold all my stage gear and electric stuff years back. Now I have fun learning fiddle tunes and making up my own stuff. Recently retired and having fun playing a lot. Would like to meet some bluegrass type players to pick with.
