Interested in working with like minded musicians and songwriters. Favorite genre of music is Power Pop...rock with a focus on songs with melody and harmony: Teenage Fanclub, Fountains of Wayne, Velvet Crush, Matthew Sweet, Big Star. Also a big fan of the entire Byrds family tree: Gram Parsons, Gene Clark, Flying Burrito Brothers. And solo artist/songwriters like Teddy Thompson, Justin Townes Earl. I'm definitely not the fastest or most technical player. Collaborating and playing understated, appropriate parts for good songs is my interest.
I enjoy recording or playing live at venues or in a living room. I've played clubs and bars and don't mind a few gigs a month, but I have a full time day job so my primary focus isn't making money. Respectful dialogue and equal input with fellow collaborators preferred. I'd rather avoid a situation with a "my way or the highway" type band leader, however a reasonable music director is fine.
