I started playing guitar roughly 25 years ago when I received a Fender Strat from my uncle as a Confirmation gift. It wasn't until few years later when I started getting serious. This was due to the discovery of Yngwie Malmsteen, Joe Satriani and Steve Vai. The instrumental path led me to Jason Becker, Shane Lane, Al Dimeola and the rest of the "Shredder players." And of course 8-10 hours a day practicing!
I was formally trained through private lessons in NY and at the Cultural Arts School in Syosset, NY. After High School, I was accepted to Berklee in Boston. However, I decided to take a different path in college (Computer Science). Fast Forward 25 years, I'm now back into recording and playing. Throughout the years, I never stopped playing, but family and life took priority.
That's it. Feel free to connect. I love meeting new musicians especially with the possibility of collaborating.

The Isle Of Fire
The Isle Of FireThe song came together in about a day. Then a few days of fine tuning. Rhythm tone is getting much better thanks to James T Ford Music (https://soundcloud.com/jamesfordmusic). Helped me dial in a heavier tone. All parts written, performed, recorded, mixed and arranged by Daniel McBride.
The Red Candle
The Red CandleI've been very busy lately with work and life in general. One night a few weeks ago I was playing around with my rhythm tone and came up with this one. After a few days of drums, leads and fine tuning the rhythm tracks; this was the end result :) All parts written, performed, recorded, arranged by Daniel McBride
Chasing TimeHere's one I had for a few weeks that I planned to add more too. Possibly more solos and such. But I really think this flows nice and forcing more may ruin it. Plus I had a few friends tell me the same. So here it is..."Chasing Time" ... This one is more a fun upbeat Pentatonic driven song. A little different than my normal style, but was a fun little jam. I may remix it at some point if I ever put out an EP. I believe this one may be a candidate for that compilation! All parts written, performed, programmed, arranged and mixed by Daniel McBride. Frozen TranquillitySlower one I wrote. Reminded me of hiking in the cold mountains :) All parts written, performed, arranged, recorded, programmed and mixed by Daniel McBride.
Beyond the Void
Beyond the VoidNew one uploaded in Drop D Tuning. Probably the heaviest track so far. I started this one back in March. Then due to a water pipe breaking and flooding my basement, I lost it (iMac was ruined). I forgot all about this one until I found a recording the other day of the main riff on my iPhone (bounce I was testing in the car). So I decided to work back on it. Most of this is new, but the intro theme with the minor 9 and jazz chords is the same. ENJOY :) This one was mixed by James Ford. I highly recommend you check his page - Excellent Stuff! - https://soundcloud.com/jamesfordmusic All parts written, performed, arranged and recorded by Daniel McBride
Kristie'sSong I wrote for the wife :) I wrote and recorded this one in about 2 days. All parts written, performed, programmed and recorded by Daniel McBride Video of solo below: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PYWXKfHJxRA&t=4s
The Galactic Divide
The Galactic DivideNew one I pulled together in a few days. Took some time to dial the mix but getting there. Enjoy :) Video of solo at the below link: https://youtu.be/rqPF6vQ2swA
The Dark Pyramid
The Dark PyramidThe Dark Pyramid is an Egyptian influenced (Harmonic and Japanese Minors) song. All parts were written, performed, recorded, programmed and mix by me.
The Sorcerer's Cauldron
The Sorcerer's CauldronHere is one I pulled together in the last week. I believe the quality of the recordings are getting better with each one I complete. I used the Fractal 3 Mark 2 for the guitar parts. All parts written, arranged, performed and recorded by Daniel McBride.
Layered ChaosThis one came together in about 2 days. I started playing around with the intro arpeggio. Then I just started layering different guitar tracks on top every 2 measures. The solo was the 4th take of an improv (after the long arpeggio run at roughly :55). I could have cleaned up the solo but I liked the "rawness" of it. I recorded, wrote and performed all parts. Guitars were recorded with the Fractal 3 Mark 2 into Logic. Drums are very basic (Superiour Dummer). Enjoy!
Jazzy JamRecently I had a disaster in my studio. Water pipe broke and flooded the area where my desk is. Lost the iMac. Also lost a number of songs I was working on. I found a number of "works in progress." This "Jazzy Jam" was an improvised solo that I did one night. Not mixed at all. Just a version I found when trying to salvage tracks I sent to my E-mail
Midsummer RainHere's a new one that I wrote, performed, recorded etc. this weekend. I had a lot on my mind and decided to write a more "fun" song that's certainly not in my typical style. This one is more in a Fusion, Jazz, Funk type of groove. All guitar parts were recorded using an American Fender Strat.
Pachelbel Canon In D Variation - by Daniel McBride
Pachelbel Canon In D Variation - by Daniel McBrideArrangement I wrote for Pachelbel's Canon in D. I basically took the chord progression and wrote the arpeggio runs/melodies over them. I got the idea from watching an old Jason Becker seminar where he talked about creating arrangements to practice arpeggios. I arranged, performed and recorded all parts.
