ABOUT

I am a rhythmically and technically solid guitarist looking for other advanced amateur musicians to play with for enjoyment/creative outlet. I play both rhythm and lead guitar and am interested in finding a jam-band oriented group that provides an opportunity to improvise without being self-indulgent. The videos included below are from an acoustic coffee-shop set with my wife (so are a bit different from what i am looking to find here) but give a decent sense of my playing.

Influences

I listen to a wide variety of american roots and improvisational music. with a preference toward music that grooves and arrangements that have a loose/jam feel. e.g. Grateful Dead, Derek Trucks, Wood Brothers, etc. I also really love great songwriting, e.g. paul simon, neil young, etc.
