ABOUT

Covert Cosmic Cruisers was formed by Darell Thorpe about 2006, first CD came out in limited editions, 11-11-2007, and eventually in MP3 format on Amazon. Their music has been used in several on line historical documentaries and You Tube presentations. Darell became interested in music at a very young age, took some piano lessons, and later bought a Juno Synthesizer. He likes to play the piano when ever he can get around one. But it's his own music, not others. In 1987-88, the Juno helped with sound effects for ads and radio shows. During his college days in the late 1990s to 2001, he learned a lot about experimenting with sound and music with Sound Forg, and later Acid. From about 2002 on ward, he has drummed in the Salt Lake City, Liberty Park, Drum Circle. Later, learning different types of guitars, and experimenting with them, he's played in open jam session in a couple places with different rock bands. Now, Covert Cosmic Cruisers has a number of CDs in MP3 format on Amazon. He hopes to find other musicians to jam with and do music with, having written over a hundred songs too. Currently, he is a radio producer on KTKK 630 AM radio, in Utah, for the last couple years now.
