I have recently relocated from north Texas to the Buffalo, NY area, my hometown. Over the years I have played and sang with several Western NY bands and was a founding member of several including Cock Robin, Dear Daddy, Daring Hearts, and X-Dreams. I currently play solo, acoustic gigs and, most recently, played guitar and sang with a band in Texas (trio called Lula's Gun).

I am not looking to join a band. In addition to continuing with my solo work, I am considering reforming Lula's Gun here in WNY, probably in the spring of 2024. You can visit my YT channel, Dave's Music Video Vault, to see/hear me playing over the years.

If I do reform Lula's Gun, I will initially be looking for a bass player and drummer that, either or both, sing - harmony and some lead vocals. These people must be mature (older), live in or relatively close to Akron, NY where we will rehearse (actually in Wolcottsville), have pro equipment and experience. Looking to play out relatively infrequently - possibly twice a month. No drugs, drunks, or drama please.

Also, I will not consider someone who would like to play in more than one band. While I understand and respect that choice, I prefer not to deal with the scheduling issues that may present.

I am very experienced and have played well over a thousand times in my career. I'm serious about music but not looking to make a career at this (I did that back in the 70's and 80's). I'd love to play music for occasional parties, events, and clubs. And while I believe a great band will yield paying gigs, the main objective is to play good music for our own enjoyment.

The music clip on this site is a recording of an original tune I did "back in the day". The videos are of my recent solo performances as well as with my band Lula's Gun.
