ABOUT

Although my style fits the jazz genre, with similarities to Dave Brubeck, I also have similarities to Cat Stevens and Friedrich Chopin. All I can say is I have my own style, and that’s what I’d like to promote. I think at least 4 of my songs would make terrific movie themes. All of my songs are copyrighted and I wrote the sheet music on Finale, so I can show other musicians how to play them. I’ve attached 3 samples from my album, “Classically Blue.” One song, “Winter’s Child,” is also on , and I’ve received hundreds of “likes” from listeners to Jango Airplay. The only problem is that I can’t communicate with those listeners. My goal is to reach a world audience. Perhaps my style would be liked best in Europe and Asia. I seek your advise in this. I know that with the right support I have some big hits to share.

I’m a native Denverite, and have been on the jazz scene for a long time. Up until recently I’ve had to limit my performances while raising two children and finishing my master’s degree in Literature and Language. During this period, however, I’ve continued composing. My music defies classification, but has strong elements of jazz, blues and classical music. The Jazz Messengers and Dave Brubeck have listened to my songs, and written favorable and encouraging letters to me. Besides my own album, I’ve recorded on other musician’s albums. A song, “Warrior Sunrise,” that I wrote for Eric Hererra, is on his album, "Reflections: A New Life" (see Manywindsmusic). Darren Skanson, a local guitarist, also put a recording of me playing “Ashokan Farewell” on his album, Acoustatherapy. I also performed in groups for many years, too, starting with the Greg Reineke Rock & Roll Band, which played at the Robin's Nest on Lookout Mountain. My own group, the Blue Jazzmen, played at the Denver Folklore Center and the Green Onion. After members of this group disbanded to go to college I came back to Denver and played with numerous other groups, including Frank Wexler's Canción, My last group was the Equinox Quartet, which was quite successful. Highlights include a 10-week gig in the Playboy Club Penthouse in the Radisson Hotel, opposite Billy Tolls and Yesternow, backing the jazz group Chase, as well as comedians such as Jay Leno, Tom Melody, Willie Tyler and Lester, and becoming acquainted with other celebrities such as Rosie Grier and Woody Allen. Equinox also backed Flash Cadillac and the Continental Kids at the Vail Village Inn Ski Resort, to a rave review. Unfortunately this group disbanded in 1986, since all members had academic ambitions. My last gig was last summer at the Wolf Rock Restaurant in Keystone. I prefer to play solo, as an interpretive virtuosos pianist.
