I'm a guitarist and bassist based in the Bay Area, performing solo and in groups. I am the guitarist in Sunset Serenade (a straight ahead jazz duo), in Full Moon Swing (a swing quintet based in Marin), and regularly perform with the Randy Craig Quintet in SF.

Influences

As a jazz improviser, my sound reflects the influences of Grant Green, Wes Montgomery, Joe Pass, and the blues I heard growing up in the Deep South. My bass lines are strongly influenced by Paul Chambers. I've been fortunate to have many great teachers including Mimi Fox, Bob Brumbeloe, Ken Rosen, Randy Vincent, Julian Lage, Larry Koontz, Brian Lynch, Richard Saunders, and Rob Kohler.

EQUIPMENT

Currently my main gigging guitars are an L5 style Ibanez and an ES339. I'll sometimes use a Les Paul or Strat for blues, rock, or fusion.
I play an A&G Barry Green signature model upright bass, and my primary electric basses are a 69 Fender Precision and a 75 fretless Precision.
