I play the Electronic Wind Instrument (EWI). It hooks up to a synthesizer and can emulate most standard wind instruments (saxophones, trumpets, clarinets, flutes). I'm looking to join or put together a small group (e.g., keyboard, drums, guitar). I like to play accessible jazz from the standards repertoire or adapted pop tunes. I'm looking to play in local restaurants, farmer's markets, and such in the Portland,OR area.
I played trumpet seriously in high school and studied with a once first chair in the Chicago Symphony. I recently retired and am getting back into music.
