I'm an old guy who enjoys playing jazz (mostly reading from The Real Book - formerly the Fake Book). I can read notes. I've also played pop songs, hard rock, and even metal.
Since 2022 I’ve been playing in jazz combos playing the standards. Prior to that I played rock music in a band - gigging regularly from Los Gatos to Pacifica as the lead guitarist. Today, I’m only playing jazz with jazz musicians.
I play at the San Jose West Jazz Jams monthly - and also function as band leader (when time allows). I play volunteer gigs with others - in a band called “Traffic Jam.”
I've added a lot of videos from my YT channel showing my playing - in a variety of styles - on electric guitar, acoustic guitar, and bass. The videos on my profile show my playing. Loosely organized at the top are videos with me playing in a live band - both rock and jazz. Roughly in the middle are videos of me live-streaming from home. The rest are recorded videos.
I've included videos of me singing the lead vocal part - at this time I am only willing to sing back up in a live situation.
