I am a young aspiring guitarist looking to make connections with other like minded musicians (preferably near Orlando). I am 15 years (shhh don`t tell anyone) old and I have played my axe for about 3.5 years at this point; as for prefered genres, my tastes are very versatile, but I would say the my favorite type of music would be heavier, thrashier styles of metal like Metallica, Megadeth, Slayer, Tool (I know they`re not trash lol), some lighter rock and folk, like Led Zeppelin, the Chilli Peppers, and even some bluesier material like Stevie Ray Vaughn, and Cream, and Albert King and what not.
As for my playing ability, I can play some faster metal rhythm playing (and some lighter, Kirk Hammet esque lead work) stuff, I can play most indie/classic/alternative rock rhythms with relative ease, and sure can improvise a blues solo over a backing track!
Im looking for other musicians and singer songwriters around my age to start writing stuff together, possibly collaborating on a project, or just have some jamming along.
