Abstract: We need extra drums, bass, keys, and lead guitar! Kali Ra is gearing to add another chapter to its ever-developing narrative. They are planning a second release, titled “Cocoon”. It features a wide variety of styles condensed into the glam rock/futurist pop pastiche Kali Ra fans are familiar with. They are blending cabaret, Wagnerian symphony, Scott Walker brand weirdness, and minimalism that evokes Philip Glass or Steve Reich. The result is a bizarre, but quite commercially accessible piece of art. They are currently in the pre-production stage. They plan on touring (courtesy of Graphic Equalizer Booking). They need additional members to play the songs from the new album, as well as songs from the first.
