Bassist of 36 years is ready for any gig. Specialties are musical theatre, jazz, fusion, funk, R&B, soul, rock and pop. Equally proficient on double bass and bass guitar (4, 5, 6 and fretless).
Dave Turner has been playing bass guitar for 36 years and orchestral bass for 20. Dave has a long history of playing bass with just about anybody and everybody in E. Washington, including Guitar God Frank Gambale, Ben "Elvis Preslee" Klein and the Rockabillies, Laffin' Bones Blues Band, The Doghouse Boyz, Vertigo Bliss, Uppercut, Dragonfly, Bruiser, Stone Cold, Eddie Haskell Jazz Trio, Phoenix, Kristi and the Spellbinders, the Spokane Jazz Orchestra, Jilla Roberts, Ken Burtch, Ken DeVries, Cosmic Dust and local original alt-rock favorite Citizen Swing. Dave has studied privately with Jeff Berlin, Eugene Jablonsky and Clipper Anderson, and currently teaches music in the Mead School District as well as being Professor of Applied Jazz Bass at Spokane Falls Community College. He also has performed in nearly 40 musicals.
