I'm a 28 year old guy, I've been playing guitar since high school and have been singing for about 6 years. I also have been working a lot on piano lately -- I'm not nearly as confident on that as on guitar, but with some practice I can play decent parts.
I've been writing lyrics and parts lately, but really would love to have some musicians to play with to help turn ideas into completed songs! The main caveat is that the stuff I write tends to be pretty political. My politics are quite progressive/left wing -- if that's really not your thing, no disrespect, thanks for looking.
I grew up on a ton of rock music, but have gotten into playing and listening to several other genres -- whatever your musical background, if you think it'd be fun to play I'd be super happy to give it a shot! Politically speaking my favorite bands were groups like Rage Against the Machine, System of a Down and Rise Against, though my singing is definitely less intense than those groups' vocalists. I play a lot of mellower stuff too -- I've done lots of acoustic covers of groups like 21 pilots for instance.
