I desire to blend classic jazz style with vocal standards, show tunes, torch songs, and original original arrangments. My repertoire recalls the halcyon days of jazz and lounge singers such as Anita O’Day, Peggy Lee, Ella Fitzgerald, and Rosemary Clooney. Mixing equal parts sass and class, humor and heart, I enjoy being the comedienne, story teller, and sexy chanteuse.
In the spirit of my idols, I pride myself on an anything goes mentality, considering any style, decade, and song fair game for their genre-bending covers of such diverse writers as George Gershwin, Burt Bacharach, Cole Porter, Herb Alpert and even Madonna!
I believe stage presence is as important (if not more important) than vocal technique. The audience is the most important people in the room and my bandmates are next.
I reject the belief that the front person is the most important one. I'm nothing without a great band.
