My playing philosophy is to focus on keeping time, accenting the changes and playing dynamically within the context of the music. I play live with or without a metronome depending on bands request.
I prefer playing in musical genres that focus on entertaining people that is marketable for private, corporate, event festivals, resorts and casinos; Roots Rock, Americana, Blues, Country, Folk, Celtic, Motown, Funk, Rock, Indie and pop dance music.
For me, the bottom line is to be involved in a musical situation with people who have a good skilled front person that can engage an audience effectively with a band whose focus is providing great sound and entertainment to any audience in a professional manner.
I have no constraints in acquiring any required show clothing or other particular gear necessary to support and represent the music authentically.
Working in a small acoustic/electric duo or trio situation is also a good fit for me, since I enjoy playing hybrid percussion/drum setups that require congas, low volumes and snare drum brush skills.

Yamaha drums and beautiful sounding cymbals from Sabian, Zildjian and Paiste. I maintain a rehearsal and gig kit with a selection of snare drums to suit the musical setting.
Drums are sized and configured to cover most musical settings from a large kit show setting to a minimalist small room or hybrid percussion/drum kit as you require.
I am also skilled at programming and playing electronic percussion gear. I understand sound systems and can function as sound man while playing drums.
