I've been playing guitar since I was 12 years old. My first guitar teacher was the amazing Joel Hoesktra (who now plays with Whitesnake and with Cher). The first songs I learned were Sweet Child O' Mine, Enter Sandman, and Another Brick in the Wall.
I've been in and out of heavy metal and rock bands throughout the last 20+ years. During my college years, we were playing 90s rock at various bars on various campuses (roadtrip!). After college, plenty of gigs were played in a different band at festivals and bars.
