I am a drummer looking for a band that plays classic rock, rock,& R&B and/or original material. I am 74 years old, look younger, and would like to be in a group with others in their 50's or 60's & up. I have a lot of varied experience, and have been playing in cover bands since 1977. In the last one, I was a member for 25 years. That band was a classic rock group playing songs from Pink Floyd, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Bob Seeger, Beatles, Marshall Tucker Band, Pat Benatar, etc.
I am not a Buddy Rich or John Bonham. I am a groove drummer, not a lot of fills and not a busy drummer. I work hard to give a clean, solid rhythmic foundation to the other musicians in the band. I am reliable, flexible and easy to work with. In addition to my long experience, I did study drums for five years and I can read drum music if necessary. Ringo Starr is my biggest influence, but I love a lot of other drummers too.
