ABOUT

My name is Denny.
I'm a singer-songwriter I have played, recorded and toured professionally as a bass player in several noteworthy bands but currently play acoustic guitar sometimes I also play harmonica (with holder) - I'm searching for accompaniment of some sort, to help break up my songs so that the instrumental breaks between verses and chorus are a little more interesting. Playing completely unaccompanied is good practice but nowhere near as much fun, I'd love to hear a lead guitar break, a fiddle break or someone else playing something else I'm open to almost any other instrument I just need some accompaniment. I generally play Thursday night's at a neighborhood coffee shop and I have a couple of play for tips/pass the hat gigs coming up that I would prefer playing with at least one accompanying instrument. Music style is Americana with a rock, countryish, indie feel originals and unusual covers that I recreate. My concept is a 2-3 piece band with almost a jug band approach except not rag-time or jazz as I have much more of a rock n roll grounding. My taste is diverse. I'm 62, easy going, politically leftwing and up for playing casually if possible to see if we are musically compatible - I'm in South Austin - hit me up!
