I have been playing bass guitar on and off since 1998. Have played music in front of large groups of people. I have some slight ability with a violin which could be developed if there was a need for it.
I live in southwest Missouri outside a small town named Sarcoxie.
I moved here from Kansas city in October of 2011. I lived in Kansas city for about 34 years.

Influences
Most of my music playing influences are not country. I can play moderate to semi-fast rock music, and would have no trouble at all playing bass guitar for a country music band, which is what I am primarily looking for. I learned to play bass guitar by playing along with recorded music, and by playing music with my older brother who was at one time a fairly skilled lead guitarist. We played a lot of old Metallica from the Master of puppets and the Black album. I can play the bass part to My Friend of Misery pretty well.
I also played along with C.C.R, Guns & Roses, Third Eye Blind, The Eagles etc
EQUIPMENT
I have a half stack combo amplifier with 4, 10" speakers running at 300 watts.
I have a single 15" speaker combo amplifier running at 150 watts.
These can be combined to run together at need.
I have a spector legend 4-string black cherry bass guitar, and a mean, pointy looking washburn that is solid black.
I have enough connectors and cables to run what I have along with a few extras.
