Currently Unnamed Doom Band

Vocalist, Lead Guitar, Drums.

We’re looking for a new drummer and possibly a vocalist (interested in clean or screamed vocals). We play a blend of doom metal, slowcore, and post-rock. Our music also has touches of shoegaze and the occasional death metal flourish. The current guitarist and bassist have been playing together for a year. We have several songs mostly worked out, and tons more riffs in the vault. We also have a lot of lyrics saved up and a long list of potential band names. The bassist has been in touring bands and played a lot of shows. He’s also done some recording. We’re both in our early to mid thirties with full time jobs, but we’re very committed to this. We want to play local/regional shows and do some recording. We currently practice once per week, but with the right drummer, we’d like to practice 2-3 times a week and get really solid. We have pro gear and a drum kit at our practice space if you don’t have access to one, or don’t want to bring it to rehearsal.

Tons of stuff, but a few influences include doom bands like Corrupted, Sabbath, Bell Witch, Windhand, Cathedral, YOB, The Body, Indian, Black Flag’s slow stuff, etc.; slowcore like Codeine and Red House Painters; post-rock like Mogwai and Godspeed You! Black Emperor.

Gatecreeper’s songs “Emptiness” and “Absence of Light” also have a great, dismal doom vibe.

Members Of Band

We had a drummer who didn’t work out (scheduling conflicts), so it’s currently bass and guitar.
